Seems that the powers that be have delayed the next volume of Killing Morph once again, bringing the total wait for the next volume to almost a year from last years volume 3 release. Even a few Japanese sellers have removed listings from their sites for some reason. Previously it was meant to this month or next month, though listings have been removed for the past few weeks much to our dismay. Meh.
Combined with the fact that raws of Young Champion stopped being uploaded from Japan (uploader got nuked) last year there’s near enough no way to get raws. Sigh. Hopefully there isn’t more months to wait but that seems most likely at this point.
Seeing as Nokuto Koike has started work on Killing Morph once again, he’s also begun work on a new horror series. Here’s a rundown of the story:
Satsuki, a boy high school boy and his childhood friend are riding in an underground train until it suddenly stops. Upon closer inspection the denizens of the train discover a mysterious beast! Panic sets in as the passengers struggle to survive the beast and escape to the surface.
The first chapter isn’t really much so far but hopefully it’ll turn into something worthwhile in the future. You can read it online here, also if anyone can rip it or knows how to then please let me know.
Hokazono Masaya has been hard at work on his new Freak Island spinoff which seems to be something like grimm’s fairy tales, from his Twitter at least that’s the impression he gives. As you may have noticed characters such as Marie and Kaoru are present though at the moment it’s unknown what shape or form their characters will take in this new manga as now there are many children. Hmm…I’m thinking Children of the corn or some kind of wicker man thing with the masks going on. Apparently he’s finished work on the second chapter of this manga though he hasn’t given an indication on what magazine if any at all it will be published in.
Hopefully some more news of this will come out in the future considering previously he had stated that the final draft for Freak Island was finished over a month ago.
