Hadn’t even noticed that Koike nokuto had started two new manga series, the other being Gajuu if you haven’t checked it out then please do. The first chapter Magamagayama (what a mouthful) came out in December so it’s fairly recent with four chapters having been released so far, the fourth being behind a paywall of some sort until the fifth comes out. Anyhow the story revolves around a mysterious and dark mountain wherein some really creepy and horrifying shit happen to tourists and locals.
Yeah, don’t think I’ll be hiking in that place anytime soon. Expect the next chapter probably within a month or so.
Seems that Gajuu will be a weekly release, very nice! Picking up right away the beast continues it’s rampage, squishing and maiming a few on it’s way to victory. Also notice how the beast initially ignores the main character and heads straight for the others just like Killing Morph. Wonder if it’s a wee nod or just a mere coincidence maybe?
Didn’t think we’d have another chapter so soon, props to the author. Anyway this time the story shifts to Kakeru and Pops for the first half as we find out what was happening to them during the poolside activities.
Sorry I had to. As for our lady friend whose name I’ve forgot, she makes a quick escape due to the dude bro trying to save his other dude bro which is nice to see. Also I like how the executioner is able to stop his swing in an instant, well he probably isn’t human anyway but it’s still cool.
Translation wise I was tempted to trade the V-word with blood suckers as I didn’t really want to type the word Vampire in the script though I decided against it for obvious reasons. It sounds retarded as hell.
Well, here you have it! The first chapter of Gajuu, honestly it was a bit stupid to post a news link without ripping the actual raw. Now since the site has security I resorted to screen capping the chapter which is close enough in quality to the raws anyhow. As for if I might pick this up? I’ll wait until more chapters release in the near future before considering it.
Seeing as Nokuto Koike has started work on Killing Morph once again, he’s also begun work on a new horror series. Here’s a rundown of the story:
Satsuki, a boy high school boy and his childhood friend are riding in an underground train until it suddenly stops. Upon closer inspection the denizens of the train discover a mysterious beast! Panic sets in as the passengers struggle to survive the beast and escape to the surface.
The first chapter isn’t really much so far but hopefully it’ll turn into something worthwhile in the future. You can read it online here, also if anyone can rip it or knows how to then please let me know.
Took a while for the next chapter to come out but hey what can you do. The site it’s usually on has also updated their security and thus I had to screen cap this chapter though honestly it looks serviceable until the actual volume comes out in a blue moons time. Anyway this chapter picks up right after the dance and things have really taken a turn for the worse as the illusion of normalcy has been removed. I don’t expect they’ll make it out of this one.
Hokazono Masaya has been hard at work on his new Freak Island spinoff which seems to be something like grimm’s fairy tales, from his Twitter at least that’s the impression he gives. As you may have noticed characters such as Marie and Kaoru are present though at the moment it’s unknown what shape or form their characters will take in this new manga as now there are many children. Hmm…I’m thinking Children of the corn or some kind of wicker man thing with the masks going on. Apparently he’s finished work on the second chapter of this manga though he hasn’t given an indication on what magazine if any at all it will be published in.
Hopefully some more news of this will come out in the future considering previously he had stated that the final draft for Freak Island was finished over a month ago.
