Weird how in this chapter they just skip how they got out of the school from the previous chapter. I mean Moe died after she fell and I guess we’re just supposed to take for granted that Satoru and Erika just made it out safe and sound. Anyway the duo make their way into town and find themselves surrounded by crazies after saving a man running away from a crazy person.
This time the good doctor finds himself in a town with a fanatical pastor who seemingly found himself getting visions from an angel buried underneath the town. However, all is not what it seems. Inside you’ll find bible quotes and a very relevant reference to the German poet Rainer Maria Rilke’s the second elegy.
The father and son duo are back once again! This time the dad has got a job on a road works site (I think) where they uncover some type of strange monster. Either way it’s a fun chapter with some nice commentary on public works. So don’t make fun of public workers because secretly they are filling giant monsters full of cement.
I’m actually quite liking the manga adaption of Gasaraki, it’s much easy to understand and consume since there’s no technobabble or mumbo jumbo dialog. An enjoyable chapter indeed but the only thing lacking is the battle between the Coalition forces and the fakes which was awesome in the anime. It’s not even in the manga, what gives?
Had a couple of days off work so I thought what the heck, nothing better to do. Anyway this chapter was slightly different from the puppet version, some lines were tweaked or removed all together. For example the Chinese proverb in the original version is not found in the manga. Anyhow I hope you enjoy the chapter, if you’ve any problems let me know.
