With the group surrounded by a hoarde of crazies it seems like all is lost, but as a hail of bullets saves them a new revelation is revealed in that of the military.
With the duo arriving at the house we are introduced to the new characters that will be appearing. Two little owl girls which I hope is a reference to the 1987 slasher film Stage Fright which I employ you all to see.
Also appearing is the families mother who ran away from the island but came back to resurrect the grandmother. Not sure why she was needed though considering they were already on their way to bring her back but whatever. She’s also a Nun for some reason but I’m sure we’ll get to that eventually.
Now we start our foray with the 7th volume of Freak Island. Picking right up where the last chapter left off we have spiky head and the dogmen meeting the crazy girl in the forest. She unleashes the eye and naturally spiky head stands there like an idiot and just gets attacked by it. Love how stupid these characters are.
With the mysterious girl finally revealing her true form Kenta questions himself as they do battle with the big bug.
Now I’m not too impressed with the direction Generation Tank as introducing a bug girl will surely shake things up but I hope that it won’t detract from the main story and make things easy for the group.
